Used in social networking sites or microblogging sites such as Twitter. A hash or pound symbol (#) followed by a word or phrase (#Liquisite), used to tag data or identify messages or content on a specific topic. Hashtags allow for content or Tweets with similar messages to be grouped together for search purposes. Be careful to not use too many of these in your tweets or posts, they may cause some clutter.
